Blade Energy Partners is an independent company that focuses on engineering and delivery of complex projects in the upstream energy industry. Blade provides operating companies with leading- edge expertise to solve drilling, completion, production, reservoir and pipeline challenges. We work from an operating perspective, with the sole objective to maximize a client’s return on reserves and assets. Since its creation seven years ago, Blade has worked on a variety of engineering, research, and development projects in several sectors of the upstream oil and gas industry.

Blade was founded by a number of Mobil engineers in the wake of the Mobil Exxon merger. These engineers brought with them an intimate knowledge of drilling, completions, production and reservoir engineering, and an abiding passion for tackling special problems in drilling and production. The era of 'easy oil' has passed. The advent of deepwater drilling, and the need for economic exploitation of mature oil fields require innovative techniques and solutions.

Blade is composed of over 85 engineers, scientists, and project managers. Sixty percent of them have advanced degrees and twenty percent of them possess doctoral degrees in applied science or engineering. In addition, engineers in the Blade team have logged an average of 20+ years in the industry with experience in several major operating and service companies.
