This course introduces the many unique facets of completions and intelligent well technology that are specific to deepwater operations. The course addresses each major completion design phase, from reservoir pore space to production, progressing from the lower sand face completion, to cased hole, to upper completion and finally to the wellhead. The course focuses on the practical aspects of each technology applied in deepwater completions, using design examples and case histories—both successes and failures— to highlight the importance of a robust, reliable design and excellent implementation practices.

Participants will learn to:
